We are a gospel-centered organization providing supportive connections, safe housing, and restorative services for women and families, empowering them to gain stability and ultimately live independently.
Non-judgmental and seeking to understand
Loving neighbors as Christ loves us
Rooted in best practices and what works
Dignity In Care
Empowering and doing-with, not compelling and doing for
We Exist To
Mobilize the church to serve the physical and spiritual needs of isolated families
Build relationships with families in need and provide community referrals
Empower families to gain stability and independence
We seek to do the following
Engage church partners to lead a movement of the Body of Christ that recruits volunteers to serve families
Train and equip volunteers in caring for the needs of the vulnerable by hosting children and walking alongside parents
Maintain lasting relationships between volunteers, families served, and the community
We are a volunteer-driven, staff-supported organization. Our dedicated volunteers take New Mercies into the community supported and directed by staff and team members who passionately invest their lives in engaging churches, supporting and training volunteers, coordinating hostings of children and coaching of parents, and much more.
Our board structure is designed to provide governance, engagement, and accountability at a local level. Our wonderful board members come from many backgrounds including business, law, management, and nonprofit advocacy.
