New Mercies Ministries is a collaboration among area churches, volunteers, and community agencies designed to give at-risk children and parents a network of support.
In our Hosting Ministry, we provide safe, loving homes where parents may voluntarily have their children cared for while seeking to restore stability in their lives. Volunteer Host Families, recruited through the local church, care for children while Family Coaches come alongside parents during the hosting, giving them support and mentorship.
Our Supportive Housing Ministry provides a temporary home to mothers and their children who have been through our Hosting Ministry but are unable to find housing. Programming lasts between 12 and 18 months and includes a Family Advocate supporting parents as they find permanent housing.
Through our dedicated volunteers, New Mercies helps to prevent child abuse, deflect children from the foster care system, stabilize families, and share the light and hope of Christ with vulnerable families in our community.

Request Support
Are you facing a situation that is making it difficult to care for the needs of your children, or do you know of someone who is? We can help!
Hosting Ministry
Families seek the help of New Mercies through our Hosting Ministry because of situations such as hospitalization, mental health crises, domestic violence, drug/alcohol rehabilitation, and incarceration. Parents can self-refer or may be referred by social service agencies, homeless shelters, hospitals, drug treatment centers, etc. We work quickly to match children with screened and trained volunteer Host Families. A Family Coach closely monitors the hosting of children in the host home and works with the parents to create and meet measurable goals.
After a hosting, mothers can join our Rooted Together mentorship program, where they’re paired with a mentor-friend for ongoing support. Together, they walk through a Bible study and attend fellowship nights twice a month.
