Supportive Housing Ministry

New Mercies is launching a new initiative to meet a growing need in our community: the Supportive Housing Ministry.

This ministry will transform a historic building in Fort Wayne into a place of restoration, offering safe, stable housing for up to 17 families at a time. With over 500 families turned away from transitional housing in our city this year alone—and 60% of those we currently serve qualifying for this kind of support—the need is clear, and the opportunity is urgent. Through this expansion, we aim to preserve families, prevent separation, and extend the hope of the Gospel in an even deeper way.

The Supportive Housing Ministry will offer more than just a roof over a family’s head. Residents will receive wraparound care that includes childcare, transportation, life skills training, job and education support, and access to healthcare, all through partnerships with trusted local organizations. Most importantly, each family will be surrounded by intentional community, ongoing discipleship, and the love of Christ as they journey from crisis to stability.

More details coming soon! To get the latest updates on the capital campaign to launch this program, go to our Empower Restoration page.
