Ministry Coordinators serve as the link between New Mercies and their church, helping mobilize the body of Christ to care for vulnerable families. They build relationships with leaders at the church they attend, invite others to serve, and support volunteers as they step into hosting and support roles. This role is for someone who loves people, values community, and wants to help their church make a lasting difference for vulnerable families.
Being a Ministry Coordinator is all about helping your church stay connected to the mission of family preservation. Ministry Coordinators serve as a bridge between New Mercies and their church, building relationships with church leaders, sharing opportunities to get involved, and helping keep the congregation informed and engaged.
They also play an important role in helping volunteers find their place. Whether someone is interested in serving as a Host Family, Family Coach, or in another support role, Ministry Coordinators come alongside them to answer questions, provide encouragement, and help them take the next step.
Much of the role happens behind the scenes, but it has a lasting impact. By strengthening church partnerships and supporting volunteers well, Ministry Coordinators help ensure that vulnerable families, and the people serving them, are surrounded by a caring community

Angie Davis is the Ministry Coordinator at Grabill Missionary Church, alongside her husband, Scott, the Community Care Pastor. Angie helps connect people in her church with opportunities to support vulnerable families through New Mercies. Whether she is meeting with potential volunteers, encouraging Host Families, answering questions, or sharing about the ministry at church events, Angie loves helping people discover how they can make a difference. Her heart for families and her passion for building community make her a natural advocate for the mission, and she considers it a privilege to help her church come alongside children and parents during difficult seasons.
